Major stands tall on Canadian Grand Prix podium

MONTREAL, QUEBEC Philip Major had the weekend that he knew he was capable of. It started in the first practice on Friday, where his Team Autotecnica/majorspeed.com Formula BMW USA series car was at the front of the field, and he, was fast and determined.

After a solid fourth place in round three, Major backed that Saturday performance up with his first career Formula BMW USA podium performance in round 4 this morning. Major finished a brilliant third.

“Yes!” Major shouted as he exited his car. “We have a great weekend…I couldn’t be happier. Thanks to CCB Management and Team Autotecnica. It is just fantastic. To stand on the podium at the Canadian Grand Prix is a dream come true.”

Major’s solid weekend will move him way up the points standings as the series heads to Indianapolis for the US Grand Prix next weekend, and Major is riding a wave of confidence.

“I know we can build off of this weekend. The whole team is pumped up now and I can’t wait for next weekend.”
